I almost didn’t get to interview Andrew Grace. In line with his project, Eating Alabama, which has him and wife eating only foods that come from within the state’s borders, Andy had planned on going hunting at the time I was coming through Tuscaloosa, on the last weekend of deer season. However, the bad weather changed his plans, and we sat down for a late Saturday afternoon talk about his work with film and food. Andrew Grace is a filmmaker whose projects with his production company, Moon Winx Films, and with the Center for Public Television at the University of Alabama, have included documentaries a variety of Alabama topics.
